About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join our team at BluStripes. As a Tax Preparer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our clients' tax filings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation, an in-depth understanding of tax regulations, and proficiency in utilizing industry-leading tax software.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough reviews of financial documents and statements to accurately assess clients' tax situations.
Prepare and file various types of tax returns, including individual, business, and specialized returns.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide accurate advice to clients.
Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information and address inquiries related to their tax situations.
Utilize advanced tax software such as Lacerte, Drake, and other industry-leading tools for efficient and accurate tax preparation.
Maintain organized and up-to-date client files, ensuring confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
Assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies for clients.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience as a Tax Preparer with a strong understanding of tax regulations.
Proficiency in using tax software such as Lacerte, Drake, QuickBooks, Xero, etc.
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Relevant certifications (CPA, EA) are a plus.
